do you lose hp or gain it with a CUTOUT?

my cutout sounds great on a stock setup....no rasp or drone...

My buddy's 00 WS6 A4 at the track (lid, LT's, ORY, Flowmaster 80): 12.94 cutout closed, 12.97 open. Mph 106.xx within a couple of tenths. Say what you will, I was there and watched both runs.

That was with a A4 too so the times were more consistant as well.

Did he have any wheel spin either time?

I would see the lower end torque loss as helping lower wheelspin at first than helping it up top as well when the RPMs were higher.

Of course he had LT's and a ORY so that definately evened out the playing field.
