Dude, that's insane. Get a beater car to drive 90% of the time and tell your insurance company that you only drive your fbody less than 5,000 miles a year. It should significantly drop your costs. And quit speeding!!! Seriously, that is throwing money away to pay that much in insurance. See about registering the car in your parents' name for a year or two.

5 years ago, I had a DUI and 3 tickets on my record and I was paying about $2100 a year. Now I have a jeep for a daily driver, the car is paid for and I only have liability (minimum coverage) on it because I don't drive it maybe 2,000 miles a year. Cost for both vehicles is $1200 a year. I'm 32 and single.

That's not bad at all. Are you married? That makes a big difference.

Progressive is bad news. I had them for years and they were still high after my record cleaned up. I have esurance now and they were the cheapest when I called around 2 years ago. Rates drop a little each 6 mos.

The thing about Progressive is that they run your record every 3 months to check for new tickets. Most places only check every 2 years or so. I was told this directly by other insurance companies. Progressive is headquarted in Cleveland (Mayfield) and they make so much money it's ridiculous. Look how much they advertise....

I'm 26 and pay about 1450 every six months through USAA.
That is with no speeding tickets and no tickets period..........except a DUI conviction oops. But before the dui I was paying about 920 every six months, which was three years ago.

I pay $1300 every 6 mo. I get a $300 discount for having all A's in college, so on a good semester it drops to $1000 every 6 mo. I'm 20 with NO tickets, accidents. Although I have been pulled over before, I've just gotten out of it without a ticket.

I'm ticket free and my record is 100% clean. I had a small claim last month for a dork who smashed my rear view and drove away when I wasnt there. so I had to change my policy to a lower deductible and also did some custom insurance.

I honestly did quotes all around.. I was even using geico just before I started with progressive and they offered the best rate for me it seemed like.

American family wanted almost 350 a month.. Allstate and State Farm wanted to PWN me. I tried some others.. insurance sucks ftl in AZ. our accident rate is so high.

Gonna have to start looking again I guess.

Ok ok ok wait a sec...How many of these ppl that almost gettin paid by their insurance companies to drive IE under 100 bucks a month for full coverage are married. Getting married will drop you insurance rates the most and fastest out of any other thing you can do cuz they think you are a "responsible" adult behind the wheel.

I was paying 130 a month until I hit a puddle doing 60 in a 70........now it's 330 which doesn't make a whole lot of sense! that is with a perfect driving record too!
