#221
Yeah well with how much can go wrong at those speeds id rather not be resposible for killing my bestfriends or gf etc...
I know im dumb in my car, and take too many risks, ive hit 155 in my last car but never with passengers, or people around me (other cars etc).

Im sorry but you're an idiot and should not own a car that can go that fast.
I mean its fine if you want to risk your own life go ahead, thats your decision but at those speeds it is very easy to make one misteak and then you're dead. Now, taking three other people with you and being responsilbe for them at those speeds that ******* dumb.

This is a thread about Top Speed. Out of the 200+ posts probably 5 people have reached thier posted speeds on a "closed course". We all do dumb things. My passengers knew it wasn't safe, i knew it wasn't safe. We were comfortable with that. No need to say I don't need what I have. I'm pretty sure you've made some dumb decisions in your life, would you feel comfortable with someone saying you don't deserve your "life" because of them?
Very True. But most "innocent people" get into accidents on streets going 20-30mph. Not 120-130mph. And who's to say there was anybody on I-355 at 2a.m. Its a ghost-town

I got pulled over doing 135 in a 50 by state highway patrol in my SLP SS camaro. He told me next time it was a wreckless opp and to slow the $%^ down.
On my way to new orleans to drop my other SS off on a sunday in alabama this springtime me and a friend (he was in his silver Ws6, I was in a silver camaro SS) Never saw below 90mph and averaged around 100 mph. We held 140-150mph for pretty decent amounts of time and never once saw a cop. I was more worried about the fact that the car felt like the rear end had a wing on the back and wanted to just float all over the road. Ive done 165-170 in that kids 03 cobra with the top down which felt much more stable then my f-body. F-body's are very nose heavy and the rear end loves to float after the speeds begin to pick up. About a week ago a kid from a local school split his dumdumdumdum in 3 pieces after he was doing about 140, hit a dip and flipped his car with it sliding roof first into a tree throwing body parts everywhere. One mishap at any speed is bad...but correctable, a mishap at 120+ is almost always certain death. Unless you have the proper safety equipment. Which almost all of us don't. Speeding is like any other thrill we get in life. If it was 100% safe, it obviously would get boring.

Bro, if you're going to insult someone over the internet(which is pretty pointless IMO) at least use proper spelling
