They timed when the doors close in reference to the acceleration of the truck and the distance the truck has to stop at the end of the road going off the cliff at THAT point. The Toyota Tundra commercial basically proves that someone took a high school physics class, nothing more. You could do that same thing with a ******* Yugo, which would be hilarious.

No, it would mean it was designed and built in Japan and for you to assemble in America. Assemble != Made.

You are the second person that I've heard from that the new Tundra engine is costing near $20K for a replacement.

I got the new issue of Car and Driver and the new Toyota comes in 3rd, then the Nissan and 1st is the Silverado.

I guess GM stepped up because C&D usually loves imports over domestics

The new Silverado's and Sirrea's frame looks like a damn ladder. Just lean it up againts a house and walk right up . I havn't gotten to ride in or drive one yet but I really want to. I'm just not 100% sure I like the new styling, but it is growing on me alot.

Oh yeah? Do you do any major towing? Didn't think so, you're going to need a Chevy/Ford/Dodge for that, with the Chevy being the best of that trio . Don't see too many Toyota's hauling boats or trailers because they are POS. They are good for the guys who want a badass Chevy truck but can't afford one, but still wanna pretend to be a badass.

Sooooo. Then you must hate the U.S. Government.

They give all kinds of money to China/Japan with trade and all.

Its what makes the world go round.

Do you not buy anything that had "made in japan/china" on it?

From what I've seen you pay ALOT more for an equally loaded Tundra over a GM truck with similar options.

Oh and no diesel option for the Tundra.

I might just be hawaii though. Not that the z71 was cheap. lol

Yeah you might be right, just by cruising around both companies websites I built my own Tundra and Silverado. Only way I was able to make the Silverado more expensive was by going to the turbodiesel option. Makes the Silverado more expensive but a far superior rig!

Have you seen Ford's new Twin-Turbo diesel?

My dad has an 04 4dr f250 w/ 6.0L and I've beaten so many ricers in it.

The two and only Toyota trucks my family owned had both motors and trannies go out before 120k miles. And that was with fairly mild use, great quality my ***, the Silverado I use as a beater has 280k miles on it and the motor and tranny have never been rebuilt. Thats some Toyota propaganda.....
