Broke exhaust flange bolts, How can i get them out? and put new in?
Well i had to drop the exhaust on my 93 LT1 in order to get the oil pan off. Well when i started to take off the bolts on the flange right at the manifold, the bolts were so rusty they just broke atleast 2 of the 3 did on each side.
Well last nite i stuck an extension on the end of the bolt and beat the hell out of it but it didn't budge..
Anyone got any brilliant ideas on how to get these things out so i can put my new ones in???

put some oil on the drill bit, its binding up cause it needs lube. Then go to the hardware store and fine a large "extractor" its a reverse drill bit. Hammer the drill bit in then get some vise grips and turn the extractor. I had a broke off stud in my brand new heads this weekend and thats how I got mine off. dont worry it will come out.

yes Extractors. And remember you dont want to put any oil on the tip of the extractor you hammer that bitch in and it has too "bite". Once its in there it will have a square end and use the vise grips on there and turn left (lefty loosey righty tighty). It will come out.
