Yes, construction is very common between the 2 since WIX assembles the AMSOIL EaO filters. The difference is the filtration media. AMSOIL contracts with Donaldson to manufacturer their nanofiber media. IMO it is the best of both worlds; top quality WIX construction with top quality Donaldson media.

Funny that you guys should mention, I went to my local stealership on friday and they have changed the filters here to what appears to be the US version. We originally had AC filters that were all white....wierd. Mind you too, the filters i picked up were for the 3400/3800 the PF47, apparently, the long truck filters have been replaced with a PF57 I think for the LS1, but I didnt buy yet. So the quality from the old filters to new are the same?

I just bought a couple of the US filters. I guess I'll have to use another brand filter after these are gone.

I got a AC Filter from the dealership for my ride a few days ago and its white, not blue like many have stated.

If the new AC Filter from Mexico is as bad as what has been posted here - time for a replacement.

Stay away from china made brake stuff!
I work at a plant that makes brake calipers. They tried to "outsource" one of our calipers to a China plant. The chinese caliper broke apart on a test. After that, Ford didnt want them. We still make em. 1 win for the USA parts.
