Body work I have two opions that i can do..
I can either buy the hood and front bumper and have a body shop paint and install it rought $1,800 if i buy but they WONT warranty the work
OR
I have the body shop order and do it all for roughly $2,500 but they warranty the work since the bought the parts.
Which would be the smarter thing for me to do

Buy the hood and bumper and install it yourself.... (NOT that hard at all!) and take it to the shop for paint! Probably only spend a few hundred on paint....(depending on the paint job)

yeah 2500 is a lot to pay just for a "warranty", i always hate when shops try to pull that **** of "oh we didnt order it so we can't warranty the paint job that goes on top of it" which is pure BS, and installing a hood isn't that difficult, good sat project for you, a buddy and 12 Bud....well its more of a 6er kind of job!
dude im about to have my door replaced and do a full paint job for 4500 there really asking for a lot. Id say do what the other guys are telling you. Get someone that knows a lot about cars and have them help you install than send it to a paint shop.

I mean its understandable, if you order a crappy quality bumper that hasnt been properly baked and preped or was made poorly and it wont hold the paint well its not all there fault. IDK if you installed the parts yourself if they would warranty the work or not, I would call around and see what other places would say. But basically your payin 700 for a warranty and if it comes down to it, thats a small price to pay to avoid furture problems if your plannin on keepin the car a while

Well the cheapest pleace i have found quoted me 2300 for hood bumer hindges and paint. and the life time warranty. i also took it to chevy just to make sure there was no added things. and chevy wanted 3400 for all the work and it would have taken them 3x as long.

I would never go to a paint shop that needed to waranty the work they do. Look around town, or even go out of town if you have to, but find a place that will stand by the work they do. A good shop knows what they are doing and will not need a waranty, and if something does go wrong they will take car of it.
A good, reputable body shop is a nice thing to know of!

Ya i took my old car there great work but its liek if the paint cracks i am screwed once again haha.. But i get what you are all saying and thats what i planned to do... i was getting the Hood from lmppperofrmace.com and the the bumper from somewere else. then the hinges and the supports from chevy
