Yeppers, I wonder if ol' Al Gore is getting those carbon credits and all. A fleet of jets and several multi-million dollar mansions and some vanity project called an Inconvenient Truth. Al needs to move on.

Its now 3.39 here in Indy, which is the highest Ive ever paid. I dont know about you all, but isnt it convenient for gas companies to hike the prices during summer months when there is outdoor activities and everyone is driving to enjoy the weather and its suddenly a crisis in gas but in winter months when no one wants to go out it drops down to 1.79 and they are still making record breaking profits? I think its all some BS but that is just my .02.

Don't start that crap. There's a whole consortium of people that control gas prices. It would be no different who was in office. They all do the same thing once they get in.

+1, I don't think it has to do with who is in office either. It is just oil companies raping us. There has been something going around here for quite a while telling everyone not to buy gas on May 15. Some are saying that will drop the price of gas .30 or so, but I don't know if that will happen, doubt it. But in support of it, I don't guess i'll be getting gas on that day.

Whether or not you fill up on the 15th won't even matter unless you park your car and don't drive that day. If you don't get it that day, it'll either be right before or right after it...

I think that the government can "govern" the oil companies from raping everyone but how much they persue it COULD have something to do with who's in office.

These stations can't sell gas but at certain price ranges. They'll get sued by the states they reside in if they do. It can't be any more than within a certain range price wise.

I'm serious on that. It's a mandatory collusion. You're dealing with energy, which means power politically. That means you can't really fight it or do anything about it.

I remember being in SC in '99. We were paying $1.2x up here and I paid $0.98 for 87 in Conway, SC at a little gas station on 544. I miss those prices.
