I think there are some misconceptions on how car insurance works, (I work for an insurance company) Your best bet is you go with your insurance company, pay your deductible, they then take that to subrogation which is your company trying to recover their loss from that ladies insurance company. In this case it looks like 100% of the fault is on that lady so they will ask for 100% of the damages back including your deductible. 99.9% of the time you have to pay a deductible no matter what unless you either have an endorsement from your company in your particular state that allows it to be waived, or the other company is taking care of your damages. I never knew tons of stuff until I started here about car insurance... lots of stuff most people do not know about.
