I know the '04 GTOs are usually a bit slower than '01+ LS1 F-bodies, M6 for M6 and A4 for A4.

Like everyones said gto for dd, ss for play. And for gangbang or w/e, my friends have gto's a4 and m6 and yea they may be slightly faster stock, but its still a race get over yourself

well i know for a fact the goat is no match for a 2000 ws6! a car salesman was saying how the gto will smoke the ws6, and he asked my mom what she had her ws6 up too. she said she would waste her time on the gto, he said no tell me how fast, she said well 145 in fourth and two more gears to go! after that there wasnt much talk about the gto!!!

Well I am on my 3rd F-body now, I have had 2 LT1's and a LS1 T/A...if I had the money however I would be in a GTO. I looked into them before I bought my Trans Am 2 years ago but I didn't have the money to purchase one at that time. Overall though for a daily driver there is no question, GTO hands down. They ride amazing, drive amazing, actually have a back seat, have a great interior and of course still have a LS1 or a LS2.
When I was looking, I wanted a quick car that was GM made but great for daily driving, and the GTO fits all of those and more.
in the end though both cars are great and I love my F-bodies I have had, but again you can't go wrong with either.

gto at 3800lbs with 400hp has power to weight ratio of 9.5 lbs for every hp. camaro ss at roughly 3600 ( rounding up ) with 325hp has power to weight of 11.07 lbs for every hp. Do the gto love the interior man and very smooth ride at 130+ compared to my buddys 2002 ws6 at that speed.
