I bought my 95 from a pretty big guy, I would say 6-6'3 and 275-315#. He complained his back hurt (he HAD had back surgery) and that he needed an SUV type vehicle for family reasons. He said the only thing he really had an issue with was rubbing the seat when he got in and out and he put a T-shirt over the seat to save the side bolster. Seemed to save it pretty decent.

Don't mean to sound rude or mean but maybe you shouldn't be worrying about cars so much. LS1's can accomodate fairly bigger guys. I know a guy who has a z28 and is about 6'4'' 250 and is fine. I don't know your situation but 450#s doesn't sound healthy, just trying to help. Sorry if that came off badly.

+1 and -1 I guess.

I am sure the guy knows 450 is not optimum, but who is to say he ISN'T correcting it? He asked about a car, not his health.

I would recommend a used GTO. I think for a bigger guy they would fit better. I think my friend's GTO is roomier than my WS6 in the seat dept. especially.

Wasn't bashing the guy and yes I considered that, just trying to give some advice (yes I'm sure he's not stupid). And I did reply to his post.

Good for you man. You shouldn't have any problems being comfortable in a f-bod.

Yea I would go test drive one, but really dont see a problem, they are really roomy cars for what they are compared to like a S2000 or other imports

I dunno. I think 450 is really pushing it. I think you'll feel cramped. Gives you incentive to lose more weight though! I agree a GTO might be a lil better option.

I would think that the seat is going to take a beating. Fbody seats don't seem too resilient to me.

I'm 5'8" and have the seat all the way back. Maybe it's the power seats because the ones in my previous V-6's went further back. If I were taller I think I'd need the seats moved back more. Also the sitting position in an F-body is lower and more reclining than most cars. They look big on the outside but when you get in you might wonder where the room went. But I love straping mine on and going......

Wow. I'm 1 inch taller than you and I'd be uncomfortable with the seat all the way back.

+1. Why dont you forget about how 450# will fit in a sports type car and focus instead on getting into the shape you want to be on and then using the F-body as a reward?

1. You will get there faster as you now have a NICE incentive
2. You wont feel bad about spending $$ on the car because you damn well worked hard for it!
3. You wont have to worry about being comfortable fitting in it or on wearing the side bolster on the seat
4. It is good to set goals/reward yourself for reaching them. An SS damn sure beats a donut!
