Depends on the crowd you want to be stereo typed with.

Vette - old foggies mid life crysis
Cobra - younger 30's punk lookin to cause trouble and more likely to race.

I'm saving for my next car as well. I've narrowed it down to Fixed roof 2000+ Corvette, 04 Cobra, 1994 Viper RT/10

Yep, Definitely would go with a z06. The prices on them right now are just crazy low!

No question Z06. I've been looking crazy hard for one. I'm kicking myself in the *** for passing up the 26k Z06 I saw on ebay like 6 months ago. It was black and mint and low miles. Being sold by a dealer. It was on 1 day before it was gone. Procrastination blows!

01's have issues.. oil consumption.

I'd look around... 60k miles is a lot for a z06.. ususally they're pleasure cars and have under 40 for that year.

no... no they did not. Here is a clean 01 for sale. Negotiable at 27K and only has 46,000 miles on it. Never been to the track, never dynoed, and still has the stock paper filter...

Default consider this

First of all I don't like stangs....with that said, the aftermarket parts for a vette is outragious compaired to the mustangs. It will cost you more in the long run to customize the vette to your liking more so than the cobra! Looks the vettes win, speed the cobra wins, money to power up the cobra wins!

some are forgetting here z06s are faster to begin with. yes, cobras make power cheaply but z06s make it more EFFICENTLY.

either car is good for racing. z06s just look better doing it.

look at it this way the cobra already has a power adder and ford probably cracked a sweat to get that power from that little 281 4.6 block. now gm didnt even struggled to get 385-405hp from a 5.7 n/a. now lets all see what happens when u drop a twin-screw or roots type charger on the z06.? instant cobra eating hp beyond fords capabilities. and a fatter tire space on the vette will help put all that power down with its light *** 3200lbs or maybe less not sure weight.

No. Ford did not crack a sweat. Ford choked this car, and underrated it.
At an underrated 390 horsepower...a pulley, exhaust headers and a tune will put you around 450 REAR WHEEL. these things are evo's of the domestic world..STUPID POWER W/ LITTLE MONEY

I love vettes..they sound amazing, and come on..its a bad *** car..id drive one.

Yet I have very little money into my cobra..and its FAST...cant say the same for a vette, because for them aftermarket is EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!

If I had to do it again, I would still take the cobra. Yea, its not a nice as a vette..but its faster.

speed, power, king of pony cars = cobra
speed, handling, sex appeal, and the prestige of owning a nice sports car = vette
