Basically they all agree that a Vert is 3600 Lbs and coupes are 3500 lbs. Give or take. I wish we were all 3400 Lb cars but the only stock LS1's I have heard of weighing that little are stripper Z28's and stripper formulas. Again we are talking power nothing, cloth seats, no AC, ect.
I've weighed my car twice about 4 times each setting with me in it and it weighs 3550, minus my 160lbs and your at 3390, the only !weight I have done is my back seat which maybe weighs 20 lbs. Fully optioned car minus ASR and I also have my heavy stock hood.

I have never weighed my car but I know it weighs less now then it did stock due to the muffler & cats being removed as well as the TCI converter weighing less then the stock one did.

I still stand behind my statements and my links that fully optioned stock ls1 trans ams weigh 3500-3600 lbs.

With respect to weight, I'll side with the guy who actually weighed his car.

Look around on this site about people who have actually weighed there cars. Your info is not correct. A coupe 4th gen fbody, regardless of options or trim, is not going to come in anywhere near 3600lbs, period. Not even 3500. I believe my fully loaded vert weighs a little over 3600lbs (I don't remember exactly).

Edit-
took me about five seconds to find a link contradicting your links

http://www.maximum-cars.com/Cars/Car.php?carnumber=372

I could easily post more links if you need them, but instead of doing this internet racing type ****, you should just run a search to see how much these cars actually weigh when people ACTUALLY weigh them.

It took me about 5 seconds to post the four links I posted which ALL back my claims. Looking around this site at peoples race weight is not going to help. Why???????

Because this site is loaded with modded cars that are either heavier then stock (heavier tires, roll bars/cages, sterio upgrades) or lighter then stock (removed spare and jack, lighter exhaust, lighter converters, removed front sway bar, lighter seats, ect, ect).

Argue all you like but that doesn't change the facts or my mind.

Have fun owning that rich SOB!!!

Even my LT1 could take him no problem.

One Benz to watch out for is an SL600. That car could slaughter an F-body. Or most any car for that matter. They make some stupid fast cars. 5.5 and 6 litre twin turbo V12s.

I didn't tell you to look up modified cars, so why would you bother looking up modified car's curb weights? There are guys on this board that have weighed their cars stock. I have done this search too many times for too many people. I don't feel like doing it again. If you want to remain ignorant of reality, then feel free to.

Take those articles you posted for what they are worth. According to most of them, LS1 fbodies are barely 13 second cars, and only make a little over 300hp. Guess those "facts" are a little skewed. I don't really care about changing your mind. Believe what you want.

Completely understandable. However my car IS a fully optioned LS1 trans am. The ONLY weight reduction was pulling the back seats and they weigh MAYBE 15 LBS, no where near the 150 lbs that would get my car to 3540ish with no driver. I also have heavier 17x11's with 315's, a built tranny, LCA's, Adj. Panhard which are both heavier than the stock units.

I had my car weighed with me in it STOCK, nothing removed, with around 3/4 a tank of gas. It weighed 3670lbs, give or take a bit, I'm a good 240lbs, you do the math.

modded, my car weighs probably 50-75 lbs more than when it was stock, but I'm probably putting down a good 30hp more and handling a shitload better with those mods.

Fully loaded, our cars don't weigh 3600lbs on their own.

Ok, I'll believe the truth then. 3400-3600 lbs is normal for a stock LS1 F-body. Lower being Z28's and Formulas, higher being verts and the middle being fully optioned TA's, WS6's and SS's.

Still have the spare and jack? floor mats? scale used is completely accurate?

Only the Verts weigh anywhere close to 3600 which I all ready said and provided links for. The rest of us are anywhere from 3400-3550 depending on model and options.

If a few F-bodies weigh in at 33xx then that's fantasic. But I bet they are all manuals and I bet many forgot that they pulled the jack and spare. Because the average stock automatic LS1 with power everything and some gas in the tank is not in the 33xx range.

Never seen a stock coupe weigh in near 3550lbs, and never will. What kind of options would push the weight up that high? The Fbodies aren't like the Benz in question. Fully loaded they didn't come with anything that mind blowing, just leather, a Cd changer, and a bunch of other useless crap.

No one suggested the average LS1 was in the 3300lb range. The strippers are though. According to this guy's webpage, the autos are lighter than the manuals
http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/weights.htm
Not everyone pulls there spare tire and jack out. I bet most guys on here still have them left in. I know I do.

See post 50 and 52
http://web.camaross.com/forums/showt...wk+curb+weight
Post 50 is on a SLP Firehawk, probably regarded as one of the heaviest fbodies. Again, nowhere near what you mentioned. There is more info out there if you search.
