Thats me all the time. My friends almost EXPECT me to do it now. The worst is when me and my friend with her Z28 are together with other people, the car talk never ends!

Ain't that the truth. When I had my 89, I always told people I had a "89 Formula 350". They looked like I was speaking Chinese. I had to say there was a Firebird, Trans Am, Formula and finally, Formula 350. Headache to say the least. With the people that I KNOW will obviously not get it (Women) I would just say I have a 89 Trans Am.

Well calling it a Firebird isn't bad. That's like calling it a Camaro instead of a Z28. A Trans Am is a Firebird with the higher trim level.

Worst part is, I see some places selling parts for '93-'03 Camaros. Or worse yet, '03 Cameros.

I think people have correctly identified my car as an SS instead of a z28 about 1 out of every 500 times I'm asked.

Well the thing is ... i can tell people it isn't a ws6 and 5 mins later they will automatically think it is a ws6 again. Happens a lot.

Yeah the spelling too... its not like its hard.

Ive heard cemero, camero, cemaro, comero, there was another terrible one i forgot.

One kid i know called me over and hes like "Are you bringing the CIARO?"
im like "........ is that a singer or something"
(BTW, after that comment i decided not to go over)

Sounds like the SRT4 guys.

I've had people call my '00 Z28 a Grand Prix.

That's exactly what I thought when I read that. I can just hear them, "It's not a freakin Neon! It's an SRT-4! Big difference buddy."

Calling a GTO a Grand Prix I can understand. But a Camaro???

I swear, the human race is getting dumber every day....

And yes, all Pontiac f-Bods are Firebirds.
