95Z- maybe it could be that the LT1 is a little less efficient than an LS1, like most of the posters in this thread have(not knocking the LT1 though at all) - also, 220 miles on 15.5 gallons is about 14mpgs, your not runing on fumes by the time you pull into the gas station so your not using all 15.5 gallons, 300 to a tank is def. reasonable and i'm sure many people on here manage that all the time.

Over 300. Around 320 last time I really focused.
check this... recently I was low maybe an eighth-quarter tank left. I put 10 dollars in, it was 3.45 a gallon at this joint. and I drove 144 miles until I was down to about eighth of a tank left. And thats mostly mixed between city/hard/highway driving. I was impressed at this.
Highway mostly, 70-80, A/C on windows up and you get your best mileage.
These cars when driven economically get pretty decent mileage considering the engine.

I drove from my house in Southwest Virginia to Petersburg, Va yesterday. 285 miles according to the trip meter. Leaving Petersburg I filled up for the return trip. Trip meter was at 295, Still had a little over 1/4 tank left. Went to fill up, pump cut off at 10 gallons but I wanted to get it as absolutely full as possible. Was able to get 10.3 gallons in with gas pouring out the spout. (car had about 7 miles on it from the night before.) Basicly, I was getting about 30 MPG, Highway miles running cruise control 95% of the time. This IS AN A4 CAR! It is stock with a Diablosport tune and free ram air mod. It really suprised me with this mileage!

I just dont belieive 300 or 400 or even 280 to the tank on these cars...unless you are on 6th all day ONLY highway then maybe 260. ![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)

thats with an A4, M6's usually get like 3-5 more mpg.
sooo.... 17mpg city x 16.8 gal tank= 285.6 miles per tank
what the problem is?

Fill up around 210ish, only because my gas gauge doesn't work. Even then I still only fill up ~11 gallons and the math says I'm doing about 19.8 mpg. This is with 2.73s and mostly city driving with several WOTs.
