Way too much money for that kinda miles, you can definitely beat that price easy.

if i was u id be more concerned with the price then the miles. these cars have proven to be very reliable performance motors. personally i wouldnt go over $11k for that.

Hey guys, I thought I'd update on the situation. Someone called me out of the blue this morning about my 99 GT (I'm trying to sell it) and bought it for $10 grand. I'm pretty excited because I can hopefully get a nice F-body for $10k. Thanks for the help!

I believe F-bodies in Canada go for quite a bit more than here.

it's in canada. it says it's in km's, and 160k km's is around 99k miles. i'm sure it's in canadian dollars, so it's ~12500USD for a ~99k mile 01, retail is over $14k.

not a great price, but not "way too much."

i picked up a 2000 Z28 M6. 150,000 for 9200 canadian about a month ago. in vancouver BC. it of course needed some work, but i talked to mechanics and a friend who owns a car lot and they told me it was a really good price.

prices for everything is inflated beyond just the exchange rate here.

I think he said that its 160k miles not KMH or whatever they go by up there so it is a 160k mile car not 99k

My 97 lt1 has 181,000 and still runs just fine. Needs a torque converter right now, but the ls1 shouldn't have any prob. outlasting an lt1.

Also, if it truly is highway miles it's probably had the front end repainted or it has a whole bunch of stone chips all over it. Then you'd want to know if it was painted by a quality shop.

Personally I try to keep my car off the highway as much as possible because I've seen what stones do to the front end of these cars. Usually I only hit the highway late at night or early Sunday morning when there's no traffic and all the work vehicles are parked for the day.

Now how many people can honestly only drive ONLY late at night or on Early Sunday mornings.... That's pretty hardcore... My '02 SS M6 is about to hit 60 and its not even broke in yet ; )

160k is getting up there. If you're going to do it, definately make sure you take care of all the related maintenance...

Keep shopping. The dealer would tell you it was owned by a 90 yo grand ma too if it menat you would buy the damn thing. Only ex wives lie more than car salesmen.

160k.. think of all the abuse you could do to a car in 40k or less.. and then think how nice a wash and wax with some armorall might make it look all pretty and brand new
