it will ******* fly. the ls1 is a very powerful motor but in my book, nowhere near as reliable as the good ol basic LT1

I am building an Iron LS1, I see that just as good, with all the benefits of a tough Block and a well designed Engine..

I love the 93-97 Camaro design, might as well get the both of best worlds and drop a LS Engine into one..

lol, I went to ummm look at a 02 Mustang GT and saw a 02 Z28 sitting next to it. Price was the same for both cars($18,000). This was back in 2002. the Z28 only had 1,500 miles on it and was fully loaded. There was a 01 SS for 19k sitting next to the Z28, but the SS was black and I live in a area with alot of cats, plus the SS had nitrous and I didn't want something already beat on. I never did even test drive the GT after looking at the Z28. So glad I bought the Camaro, has been the most reliable and fastest factory car I ever owned. I still can't figure out why it was so cheap..18k for a 1,500 mile car that was built about 3 months before final production.. I could sell it now and not even take a huge loss after 5 years owning it. The first time my wife drove the z28, she was going up a hill and I told her to punch it, was right in the sweet spot and her head whipped back and she spit on the steering wheel lol.

Thats funny
I remember test driving my 94 z28 back in the day and then driving a 94 mustang vert gt. Chuckles I was flooring it and couldnt even tell it was moving compared to the way that lt1 kicked. Never even had to test drive the ls1...
Yea and shhh I re-learned how to drive a manual on my ls1 and I am still on the original stock clutch 2 years after buying it

I had experienced LS1 addiction syndrome before getting mine since all my buddies have them and now that I finally have mine it's worse! It's unreal how these cars can be so tame until you get on them and then you're stuck to your seat.

Yea.. the design and the function is excellent.. you don't have to set Timing ever for it as long as you have it installed right. Location is the killer there though, you would think that they would of moved it, then again there is no other spot.
The LSX setup with the Coil Packs and the way that works is nice too, don't have to worry about anything there getting covered in Oil or Water..and the Spark Plugs are a hell of alot easier to change.

you wouldnt want anything electrical near water.
on your house, it would basically be like having your breaker box underneath your sink as opposed to the opti being underneath the waterpump.
