I agree 100%.

I've never liked the FRC/ZO6 body style of the C5. I'd much rather have the T/A.

 

One day I will have a garage like that

its not about looks to me although I do agree with RPM about that body style
for me its about owning something that they dont make anymore and preserveing something that not alot of people have
every year that goes by there are less and less nice fbody's with low miles
ont get me wrong about vette's I WILL have one at some point in my life but just with supply and demand alone I'd take a fbody (nice condition anyway) over a vette anyday

I'm sure the Z is a better race car, but I sure can haul alot of stuff in my Z when I fold that back seat down. I put things like my giant hockey bag, two at a time large laundry baskets, my dog heh...plus room in the trunk for clubs and pull-cart and more stuff, though a vette probably does that I'm sure.

If I didn't want the convertible so much, I'd maybe choose a trailblazer SS over my car, but probably not, not a hard-top, even if it was a zo6.

 

The workbench and tools are in front of the TA. The garage was made extra deep because we have a conversion van.

As for the Z vs TA debate, I understand where you are coming from. But either car is awesome to have. My main objective is having a cool daily driver that I can take to Road Atlanta every 3 mos. All the improvements I need to make to the TA, have already been done to the Z, so I just got one. Wasn't really looking for sc, but so be it. I have so much sweat equity and attachment to the TA, it will be hard to get rid of her, if I can. As for the Z, TA and me - wife says only 2 of us can stay . Fortunately, there is no set time limit right at this moment.

 

Then send the wife on her way.

I'm lucky that my wife doesn't make me choose like that. She's already accepted the fact that I need to add one more toy to the lineup.

 

i had a camaro ss, and it was not enough to convince me to keep it over the c5.
but a blown z06 vs trans am. id take the z06 anyday not jus cuz the blower, but because its a better built car all around.

 

i have a t/a and i was thinking about trading it in and getting a zo6. if it were me i would keep the z06 and get rid of the t/a. they are both nice cars though

 

nice pair, can't really go wrong with whichever you decide to keep.

 

Man thats nice, wish i had a garage with two badass cars.

It is better built, just too bad that it doesn't look as nice as the T/A.

 

Finally a garage being used for what they were meant for. Keeping awesome cars nice and clean. Hell I would sleep out there.....
