Pretty cool of the cop to apologize to you. I am sure he didn't have to and was not easy to do. Maybe he was having a bad day.

Just as there are a few dicks that drive LS1s, hopefully we are not all judged by their actions.

All that said, you did get hosed there, and I'm glad it was dropped...thats really what court is for!

i got stopped in Virginia for going 19 over by state police. I had my 2-12's pounding and and my lowglow lights going that i had on my other car at the time. He stops me and says WTH where you thinking, i looked at him like a deer in headlights and im like SIR where the heck am im. he told me where i was, im like oh man i have been driving for 4 hours, im so lost please help me. He showed me where the main highway was and let me go. I was shocked.

I have a round with cops coming up next month in court - caught my step dad speeding, pulled him over and gave him a ticket and since i was headed to a destionation i have never been to (across state traveling) i pulled over way up the road to wait and he walked up and wrote me a ticket for the same speed when i was a great deal of distance from my step dad when he orginally got caught. Best yet i asked him what my speed was and he looked at me and said you were right behind him...again i asked and he said look - if you dont like it, fight it in court. so...here i am. (this story is very cut up as its a long story)

Uhh.. he didn't get fucked, he got a lecture. There's just a tiny bit of difference.

I'm honestly surprised a state boy even showed up to court. Most of the guys around here don't... he must not like you

This is exactly why if you have a bitch you should ALWAYS fight it, that's what the system's there for. Congrats on getting out of it

As another poster said. They do judge you by your appearance. I have gotten pulled over 3 times in the last year. Not one ticket. I speak to the officers clearly, professionally, and tactfully. And they let me off. One I was even caught street racing. I got off without a paper warning, Just verbal.

But I have met alot of dick cops. It's a flip of a coin. Glad to hear you got off and justice was served.

dam man you are lucky if the cops dont show up to court around there in virginia it is the LAW they have to come if they wright a ticket that requires a court date (any reckless driving in VA) then the cop is just as required to show as i am. if they dont show they will eather dismiss the ticket or reschedule when the cop can come.

Awesome story. Good on the cop for manning up to apologize as well. And remember that for every ******* cop we know, there are at least 5 others trying to do an honest job. It's too bad he wasn't one of the 5, but I hope he's learned his lesson!
