So a little back round for the story, i work at Oil Changers. Its a quick lube obviously. So i was at work today and a white 00 Z28 convertible rolled into one of the bays. So i ended up working on the car, i pop the hood and it has the basic bolt ons. LS6 intake and lid. Then i notice it has headers,so i start doing the whole song and dance with talking to the customer and figuring out what im servicing on the car. Then the pit tech ( guy who works on the bottom of the car) calls up that he cant get the oil filter off. So i go downstairs and find that the car has Long tube headers. And to make it worse they were SLP Long Tubes. So i finally manage to get the oil filter off with some filter pliers. Then i get the brand new filter and try to put it on, and i have to shove it in to place, rubbing all over the header. So i try to thread the filter and to make everything worse the headers pushed the oil filter just enough to make it to were it was cross threading. So i had to take the big ratchet and pry the header away from the engine to be able to get the oil filter on straight. Not to mention i couldn't fit a socket wrench over the drain plug because of the headers, i had to use a wrench. So to make a long story short i almost threw up

when i saw the underneath of this car, it was leaking from the oil pan gasket and trans pan. Also the guy was using 5w50 castrol syn oil with syn lucas oil stabilizer. Sorry for the rant, just another SLP horror story and a poor F Body with 60K in worse shape than my 105k fbody.
