Well, go to one of your local meets, and have the other guys take a look at it and show you new/what you are doing wrong with burnouts.

Definitely sounds like you're holding the brakes too hard. If you just floored it from a stop without the brakes at all that should be enough to spin them. Have you tried that?

try to do a doughnut. Go to a complete stop, crank the wheel, and mash it and see if it breaks loose, your an auto so you should easily be able to break them loose that way. If that doesnt work start from the bottom up. Replace spark plugs, check your tire pressure, make sure that your wheels are torqued right (Im just throwing **** out), air filter is clean, MAF is clean, throttle body is clean. Good luck. let us know when you get some smoke. Are you running stickys?? maybe you just have amazing traction.

That's crazy, my car is an auto and would spin even when it was completely stock, mash on it like you stole it! My third gen could spin tires (not as easily) and it was stock. Something has to be wrong, but I can't think of anything that has not been said already.

Dude, you're seriously doing something wrong if you can't get it to spin... My Formula would make more smoke than Cheech & Chong even bone stock with 2.73 gears.

Under normal driving my tires usually just grip and go. I don't want them to spin, I want traction. I'm running on Toyos. But if I sit at a stop and lightly brake my A4, the tires will spin and burn until they blow out, a smog alert is called, or I get arrested for public nusance.

this isn't a "holding the brake too hard" problem. i think your torque converter is having problems. something is wrong with it. if i tap the gas passed 1/4 throttle from a stop the tires spin and i have a nearly stock 2.73 geared A4. with the brakes held down, at 1700 rpms they break loose and spin. i think you have big-time converter problems - get your car to a trans shop ASAP.

the dyno sheet could be a fake, are you sure it's not a v6? Maybe a little less pressure on the brakes, because it does lock up the rears too, you have to overcome the traction and the brakes.

my 98 Z when stock would spin if i just mashed he gas, had to be on top of the steering to keep it on the road. same went for holding the brake it would spin until you wanted to quit. the only change at the time i made was a LM1 and the car wouldn't spin just mashing it and just holding the brake it would really have to work hard to get the tires spinning. i thought the car was broke so i checked and changed everything and same results. the only thing i could figure was the LM took the low end torque out if it. then i started to really modify the car and spent a lot of time and money trying to keep it form spinning

I'm wondering why the stock stall is going up to 2200rpm on the footbrake... mine only does like 1400rpms before it starts spinning.
