If you switch and race much, start saving for a new rear end. Good luck, 6 speeds are a blast to drive, but they are tough on rear ends.

Manual is fun for a weekend but auto is the way to go as a daily driver in traffic & if you really want to win races & not break anything. Not only is the manual bad to destroy rear ends but also the trans. itself not to mention the clutch & if you miss a gear at redline the engine also. So there !Choose your weapon!

Well I drove a automatic as my first all of the cars where autos. Then I bought me a manual and first had a little problems now I am very good consitent and quick at shifting and its a lot more fun!!!! Also it gives you the feeling of more control. Winter driving is safer I think if you know how to drive one safe in the winter.

These threads are pointless.

Buy what you like. Drive what you like. If you don't like what you have, convert it or sell it and get the other trans type.

Final thought:

NEITHER IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER. It's all about personal taste.

To some people, M6s suck. To others, A4s suck. Guess what..... BOTH CAN BE RIGHT.

THE END.
