Default >>question on oil change light!!!

hay guys i had a question, when i first bought my car i remember when i was coming home i gave it some throttle and the oil change light turned on then after that i drove home normal and the next day i went to go do my oil change but i was warming up the engine and i noticed that the oil change light had turned off!(i changed the oil anyways) is that normal then how would i be able to reset it with the light off. thanks ohh and also, what would u guys say the correct power band is for the ls1? i kinda noticed 3200-6000 rpms is that correct? and did the 98's really come with the auborn differnsial? so is that better then my zexal torson? thanks alot guys

Once you hit the limit on the oil, the light comes on for one minute when ever you start the car. The reset directions are in the owners manual usually located in the glove box.

Alright with the engine shut off and the key in the on position push and hold the trip reset for 12 seconds.

All limited slip difs are simple machines. They work for awhile.

From what I read in the drag race forum, you should shift at 5800-6000 RPM's in a race. I'm going to the track for my first time Sunday and that's where I'll be shifting.

You have 3.42 gears. All M6's have 3.42's stock.

Also, you've been here for a month and have over 100 posts. You can be a big boy and start using search and reading the stickys now. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=213148&page=1

Exclamation

The search button has been acting strange as of late, but works non the less for your oil change light:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/search.php?searchid=5586719

For your other question search this section:

LS1TECH > CHASSIS, SUSPENSION, APPEARANCE > Gears & Axles

Thanks,
Craig.
