Once you hit the limit on the oil, the light comes on for one minute when ever you start the car. The reset directions are in the owners manual usually located in the glove box.
Alright with the engine shut off and the key in the on position push and hold the trip reset for 12 seconds.
All limited slip difs are simple machines. They work for awhile.

You have 3.42 gears. All M6's have 3.42's stock.
Also, you've been here for a month and have over 100 posts. You can be a big boy and start using search and reading the stickys now. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=213148&page=1

The search button has been acting strange as of late, but works non the less for your oil change light:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/search.php?searchid=5586719
For your other question search this section:
LS1TECH > CHASSIS, SUSPENSION, APPEARANCE > Gears & Axles
Thanks,
Craig.
