How did you learn to drive a fast RWD car.

Go to your nearest autocross. I grew up around Corvettes and started racing as soon as I got my liscense. That is where I learned the most about how to handle my cars. That training has helped me avoid multiple accidents that I surely would have been in if I did't know how the car would react. To this day I haven't had one accident except with two deer that jumped out in front of me at the last second.

I taught myself to drive stick in a weekend on my car when I was 17. I had been driving my brother's A4 Trans Am for over a year though before I got my SS. Just take it slowly and don't go WOT as soon as you get in the car.

I learned how to drive a stick in a 80 something subaru brat, I learned the dynamics of sliding and all the other stuff; I know its gonna sound stupid but gran turismo 1 and 2. and believe it or not the dynamics is pretty damned close.

First thing you have to do is make sure ASR is off, if it's not turn it off, then you'll want to rev it up to 5000 rpms, yes five thousand rpms then it's time to dump the clutch and hold on YEEHAAA!!!!!
I keed I keed, I learned to drive a manual in a 99 Mustang GT, it was fast for being only 15 with a permit learning to drive, just get some seat time and it will come naturally. I still remember scaring the **** out of mom at every stoplight, stop sign etc , needless to say the only car they would help me pay for once I did get my license was a 3.1 V6 Olds Cutlass. that was also a manual and also had rusted rear motor mounts which fell out and dropped my engine to the ground snapping the steering column and giving me a ride from hell good times

I just took steps and eventually had a M6 4th gen. Learned how to drive initially in a 91 LeSabre, then my first car was a 86 2.8 5 speed Camaro, then the next car was a carbed 350 auto 83 Z28, then I bought the 94 M6. Mostly out of boredom of driving the auto 83, even though I had a megashifter.
