Not sure which one I should look into buying. I live in NJ, we get rain and snow, it will be a daily driver. What do you think?

Step 1: Buy the Goat, for God's sake.
Step 2: Buy a winter beater for a couple grand. Never wash it or clean the interior. Laugh at people in the grocery store parking lot that accidentally hit your beater with their shopping cart.
Step 3: Begin modding the Goat with the satisfaction that you have purchased the better car.

im not buying two cars. I had that now, am I hate paying insurance on two cars. the nice car is still sitting outside getting killed by rain and snow, so it makes no difference. I am leaning towards G6 only cause its FWD, 6 spd automatic which is just as good as an M6, gets good gas mileage, and pontiac will come out with performance parts for it. plus interior is awesome looking. but doesnt feel like a muscle car, looks more like a tuner, so thats where the difference is. 400 hp in rain and snow is not going to get me very far lol but i wanted opinions.
camaro is too far away lol

I was going to say get the GXP until I saw your sig. Get the GOAT, or like everyone else is saying, wait till the camaro comes out. I thought you were going to daily drive the GXP and have your TA. Man just get the Goat, by the beater and your set!

buying another car to us as a DD is not an option, and neither is renting or buying a garage. daily driving. not going to the track a lot, maybe 2-3 times a year at most. i love the power of gto, but it looks like my moms 2002 grand prix gt. appearence wise, i think the gxp looks better, power wise the gto, gas milage gxp, interior i think is even, so they have differences i just need to find out what suits me best

Even though the GTO is rear wheel drive I'm betting it will be OK in the snow because the Gas tank is basically on top of the rear wheels (right behind the rear seats, plus dude does it really snow much at all here in NJ) so just fill up when you are worried about traction. Also in doesn't weigh 2 tons more like 3725 with a full tank of gas. Most importantly it has a 400hp V8 you'll be kicking yourself all day long when you realize that crappy G6 only weighs 300lbs less and has 130 less hp and won't even sniff the high 13's while a Goat will be in the 13's without even breaking a sweat maybe even the 12's if you can drive.

GOAT GOAT GOAT... (the only thing the G6 is good for is squeaks and rattles, wind noise, and suspension noises...) maybe the GXP will be different, but its still GM's shot into the Import scene. IMO its about as as the Cobalt SS
BTW, dude... my girlfriend thinks the G6 is a "cute" car. Maybe that will give you another opinion

there happens to be a "gay v6" that puts my 3800# Grand National in the 11.40's @ 122 MPH!!!
Seriously, if you want to pay out the nose for insurance, buy the GTO. No accidents, tickets, anything...and the insurance has gone up 40% because every idiot with one wrecks it and the rates are stupid on them now.
I personally have driven a G6 GXP, being that I work for Pontiac....will you have a street terror..no, but you will have a fun, quick, good looking, well thought out car, with a 100,000 mile warranty, sunroof, heated seats, remote start, a freakin awesome stereo....oh yeah...and something that isn't obsolete. Don't get me wrong, I love our GTO, but it won't be around much longer. It was cool for awhile, but the looks are kinda getting old and it costs too much to insure/modify.
