Default 2002 Z28

i've been looking for a 01 or 02 SS and i ran across a nice 2002 z28 with 76k leather, with a rs body kit and spoiler for $12900 and was wondering if i would be happy with this car or to hold out for an SS.

If you really want an SS then hold out for one. What are your plans for the car? That might weigh in on the decision.

I think you would be happy. It is essentially the same thing, especially for the price. The RS kits are hit or miss though with people. I would go for it over an SS and just dump the saved money into mods. Check the KBB though.

my plans are prettymuch to drive it. i'll do a few mods headers, exhaust, but i'm not gonna try and make it a drag car. I like the head turning factor of an ss tho there arent alot around here and even my 96 SS makes people get a kink in their neck.

If you are willing to tavel my buddy is selling his 99 Red SS very very soon here (if not now).

It has every option minus leather.

Torch Red/grey cloth, t-tops, m6.

He is the only and original owner. Car has something like 55k miles on it. Always maintained and kept in a garage or under a car cover.

Never wrecked and waxed monthly. He only wants $12k for the car.

Has all bolts on's, 4:10's, and a 125 dry shot (only had the bottle fillled 2 times).

Runs and drives perfect. He is buying a C5 Z06 or a C6 and is selling that and his MR2 Turbo.

The SS is just a show factor. If it's worth the money for a hood/spoiler/catback then do it. Otherwise, you'll be happy with a Z28...

Go with the Z28, like someone mentioned. It's pretty much the same as getting an SS, you just dont got the ram air hood or the spoiler. i was in the same situation as u are, and i chose the Z28 and ive been happy with it. i cant lie, havin a SS wouldve been nice but a Z28 is just as good.

I totally agree with Mamba. It comes down to what you are going to be happy with and what you are or arent going to regret. Remember they both will have about the same power. Slap 3 mods on and it will not even matter. just be HAPPY
