Flowmaster suprise...
#42
I had the flowmaster, but recently switched to an used adjustable borla. (I would never pay full price for it) IMO...A little different sound, but hp feels about the same. Probably only 2-3 hp difference to be honest. I should have saved the money and got a ls6 intake.

Well no **** I wouldn't keep the FM on a H/C car....
Its my first bolt on besides the short stick, its not gonna make me lose 3 tenths or anything like that. It was $175 with really nice lookin tips, I couldn't see myself passin it up. Money is an issue...
When I do H/C... money may be less of an issue if I am shellin out for that, so at that time I will probably switch to true duals. I won't replace this cat-back unless its just a muffler swap or going to true duals.
I'll post a pic of a girls face in my avatar since it was requested. When I get home.

I just installed the SLP Loudmouth II catback on my '00 SS 6-speed vert,
(The II has an actual "muffler" vs the SLP resonator) and I can't begin to tell you how absolutely bad-*** it sounds. Very mean and throaty w/ a deacceleration "back rap" that makes my hair stand on end 'cuz it sounds so good. And all without being too loud or obnoxious. To me, the Loudmouth II sounds just right.

ive been around my local track quite a bit and my ls1 with open headers was just as loud as the open header cars there.

Your talking about that one thread, out of all the **** that yall flowmaster haters talk... You can provide one thread that shows where one guy gained that much power. And don't you think its funny that he gained more power swapping to a diff muffler than everyone else does going through a cutout?!? Sounds a little fishy to me, but of coarse not to you.
BTW why do you come in here and talk ****, this was about how we like flowmaster, so why come in here with this bullshit negativity about how you don't like it? If you don't like it then thats cool, don't have one on your car. THE END

bullshit negativity? i dont think the LS1 with a comparable exhaust system to another car is quieter, thats my opinion. i was also just letting the original poster know that flowmaster systems/mufflers dont flow as well as other brands do...in other words they are not the best at prducing HP. then the thing about you saying "wheres your proof"? i came back with a thread and a dyno sheet that PROVE what i said.
dont be a keyboard warrior. your just making yourself look like a jackass.

alright, i see your point. the cats do quiet the exhaust down alot. iwas go over a large bridge where i live, no cops so i got on it...a friend of mine that lives about 2-3 miles away called and asked if i had just gone over the bridge. granted it was around midnight so there was almost no other noise. i had pacesetter long tubes, ORY, and an LM1 with a proflow twister to quiet it down.

Alls I was saying is that these cars open headers aren't really that loud. I have been around alot of cars open headers and they are all deafining, but when I fired my other trans am up with QTP's wide open I thought it would be blaring but it wasnt that bad. My car was actually louder with the duals dumped at the axle with the bullets. Me and my friends all agreed.
