Default What would you do!?

Okay, i'm really stuck on a fence here...I had two F-bodies, one 96 SS and one 96 TA..i used the ss mainly as the DD but got too expensive to fix so I sold it..I still have my TA and have been driving it everyday and i HATE driving this car daily..and it being a Vert and the windnoise and leaks are just getting to me..and it costs and ton to fix right now. Only having LT1's..I've always wanted a LS1. I went on a hunt, I found this MINT MINT 98 Transam, non WS6 : / 51K miles, black on "DARK GREY" boo..t-top M6, only things wrong is driver window motor is getting weak, and i'm sure it will need a clutch eventually but seems okay right now..always been garaged and the guy just doesn't drive it..he will let it go for 10,700. Now the question is, Would you keep the 96 only and fix it up nice..77K miles always been garaged. Cost me probably a total of 2500 new top/dash cover/tune-up little things like so, or just buy the 98 put a WS6 hood on it and call it a day. My biggest concern is the 2009 Camaro coming out and i get screwed on the cars value : ( So in the back of my head I have just wait it out and buy a beater..but if the car is some 35-40K..screw that. Thank you very much : )

I don't know what kind of financial situation you are in but I would keep the '96 TA and try to find a nice '01 or '02 LS-1. Not sure if I would offer that guy almost 11k for a 10 year old vehicle though.

i'm doing okay financial, i'm only 20 but well off (computer engineer) but I really hate driving the 96..and that is true, 11K for a going on 10 year old car. I was planning on a Yank SS3600 Converter/Dana S60 3.73 rear, LE2 head cam/pacesetter coated longtube with ORY/cutout. Stock from cutout back or a catback, wasn't sure. And then a OEM ram air hood with the box..and then ported intake and TB, but after having such a hard time with just finding the ram air kit..i just said screw it..plus its real hard to come by a triple white vert in great shape..then it'd also be my only car..
