If I was you, Id invest at least half of that, and use the rest on the car. You don't want to be looking back 5-10 years from now thinking you should have saved some of that money. Yeah, you can do a lot with 30k now, but if you act like you only got say 10k, in 10 years you will still have 20k + interest to use at your discretion, meanwhile, your car will be worth very little. Just something to think about. Everybody likes to have fun in life, but think about your future as well.

I would invest 10g for good and not touch it for YEARS...
Spend 12g's on a base bare honda civic that I can take trips in and get 40 mpg....
then spend the other 8g's on FI for my SS...
Just my .02
Now I'll put on my flame suit.

here's what you should do with $30k, in order of importance:
step 1) pay off all your debt
step 2) see step 1
once you're out of debt, if you have money left over, put a nice chunk of change down on a house, and don't incur any more debt. and maybe buy some cheap-*** beater car to drive while you're messing around with your camaro (if you don't already have one).
with the money you would be saving each month by not having to pay other payments, even if the car/rent/insurance payment is the only thing you have to pay now, you could easily save up for car mod money in no time.....

I love having a truck but if I were you Id get a beater. I bought my 97 civic for $2000. Thing just runs and consistently gets 30mpg. After that get a built bottom end, throw on some heads, cam, tranny work, and rear end. Save the rest. From there your possibilities are endless.
