Yeah, but I'd feel bad about driving them in shitty weather. Not that I enjoy driving my 3.4L, but I hate doing it to my Z28s. And it would drive me even crazier having to drive one of the Z28s in the snow (trans ams too).

so keep the v6 then, buy a stock firehawk (and keep it that way..), and sell the 95 to finance some mods on the Z

IMO 4 cars is just a tad rediculous lol..

Yeah.. Its kinda becomming a pain in the *** too.. But I just love getting new cars though! And I also hate selling them. I was going to sell my 95 Z28 and put the money towards the 98 Z28, but I just couldnt let it go! It was my 1st car..

i know how you feel man. i had to sell my first vehicle, a 1980 f150 that my dad and i restored and customized. 10k into it, sold it for 4k 3 years later. i miss the truck, but i love my camaro too. cars will come and go, unfortunately. there are very few people that keep a car for life.

IMHO, if you are thinking of buying a TA because of looks then go for it. Personally, I really like how TAs look, until the headlights flip up (sorry; no offense anyone.) Regardless, I think they look better inside and out than Camaros do, and with the WS6 option, look way more aggressive.

Maybe you could look at your situation like: would I prefer to go faster or would I prefer to look better (assuming you like the looks more.)

If it were me, and I had a '98 already, I'd keep it and mod' it. It's a known commodity and you can be virtually certain that it won't give you trouble.

Funny how different opinions can be even within the F-body community. I sold my WS6 and went back to a Camaro because I decided I liked their look better. Not much better, just a tad. I still love T/As too.

^And, I'm even a third type in the F-bod community. I like the Pontiac T/A's look better, but the Chevy Camaro is just more "me," so that's what I bought. It's funny how the F-Bodies are really the same damn car, but the opionions are so varied.

To the OP: having a really fast tricked out car is a lot cooler than having a bunch of stock ones, IMO. $15K into an LS1 F-Body, and you have yourself a bad ****. I wouldn't even be considering another option, unless maybe some crazy guy wanted to sell his black M6 C5 Vette for that.

Honestly, they are too similar in my opinion to do the switch. When I had my z28, I wanted so badly to trade or sell for a TA. But I realized they go for a little more money than the Camaros, which I decided to use towards mods instead.

agreed, with that kind of power there has to be A LOT of other things upped. If I went twin turbo I would prolly go with a big brake kit, koni's, lca's, sfc's, sway bars, 9", built T56 too. Just my .02

My first TA is indoor bubbled...plan on having it for life! My choice would be just mod the Z. Don't waste money on multiple cars. Been there done that. Heck, even 2 is more than enough, lol. Making my LS1 car a DD and storing my first car(LT1) thats more than enough for me. I want a V6 DD after reading this though lol..
