SN-95 2 Modular (1999-2001*)
With the introduction of the "new edge" Mustang in 1999, came a new SVT Cobra. All 1999-2004 Cobras featured independent rear suspensions, unique to the Cobras. The new Cobra had an upgraded 4.6L DOHC engine with 320 hp (239 kW) and 317 ft·lbf (429 Nm) of torque. Due to problems with the 1999 Cobras producing the claimed power (remedied via recall), the 4.6L Cobra was not produced in 2000. Ford replaced the intake manifold, exhaust and computer components to produce an estimated 15hp. The Cobra came back in 2001 with the same power rating with the problem fixed. Despite being smaller in size and lower in compression, the 4.6L DOHC Cobra engine still made similar power to gm's ls1 engine, equipped in the Camaro Z28, SS, and the Pontiac Trans Am. This just proves the SVT engine was of superior design to its' competition

I'm working on it. I haven't ever edited anything on wikipedia before. I just know you can.
I saw this license plate cover on a vagina transport aka V6, automatic, mustang convertible at school. I just had to take a picture of it.
EDIT: My pic went down:
I'll note something about the cams and how that only puts them at about 300 to the wheels aka what a stock LS1 car makes.
yeah but his fox body doesn't have a piece of **** 4.6. Personally I don't lump fox bodies in with all other pusstangs.
Someone needs to find some statistics of how many women drive mustangs and how many V6s are actually out there and use that in the defintion. I would be willing to bet it was someone with a slow car that got beat by a stock LS1 that wrote that.
EDIT: Put something in about having fun getting raped up the *** when you have to pay 600+ $ for two cams and then another 300+ for springs not to mention the pain in the *** the install would be. Could you imagine the bill if you had it done? My *** hurts just thinking of it. LOL.

so now it's less biased....
the 4.6L DOHC Cobra engine still made similar power to GM's LS1 engine, equipped in the Camaro Z28, SS, and the Pontiac Trans Am. However this was due to a 4 valve, DOHC (dual overhead cam) design - allowing it to achieve those ratings at a relatively higher RPM than its GM competition. While the LS1 edged out the Mustang in the 1/4 miles times, debate still rages as to which engine is king.
now leave my change be! lol
