Default How do you guys buy safely over the forum?

Just wanted to see what other people are doing not to get burned purchasing on a forum...?

Most buy through pay pal or if its not too far away, they pick it up

everything is usually local, and if it's not ask for a picture of the item and a sign or somthing with their username and ls1tech written on it to make sure they have it. pay through paypal, then hope they are an honest person

Yeah the product is too far away to pick up and the seller has like 20 posts and no trader feedback. How does going through paypal protect buyers?

Paypal is typically very good when dealing with fraudulent cases. I've never dealt with car parts, and as they are a little more expensive, I would be aware, that Paypal may not cover anything over ~$500. I think that amount sounds right. I have only dealt with them when buying/selling on ebay, but am a verified member. I have been screwed a few times over the years, and only on one case did I not get a refund. Just be aware, the process can take a while. Calling them and talking to a representative directly is often MUCH easier and quicker, than emailing back and forth.
