Hey all, I am in the process of selling my truck and I am looking at a M6 Z28 or WS6. I really don't need the truck (Ford F-250 powerstroke) and a friend of mine has a highly modded 3800 Camaro. My budget is about $10,500. I am a 20 year old college student and really cant spend any more than that. Being so young, and not really being exposed to powerful, rear wheel drive cars, I am really looking for something that isn't really moded too much. I want to learn to drive the car right and respect the power it already has. What are some common issues to look out for on these cars? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch guys!

Well for one hope its a 6 speed cause the auto 4l60's are garbage(trust mine just broke at 99k) lol with a stock motor so yeh. The only other problems i have are like my window motors but other than that its been good to me so far

Just like any car go over it and take it to a trusted mechanic before buying. Carfax helps but is not always 100% accurate. The ls1 cars are well made and shouldnt give you any problems other then minor things like power windows going out.

3800's are v6's
you can get a pretty good low mileage ls1 for 10k. i picked mine up slightly modded with 72k miles for only $8500. manual vs auto, each have their weaknesses. just get whatever you prefer. window motors, make sure the rear end isnt whining, water pumps occasionally go (only thing thats ever broken on mine),
