BTW, my mechanic friend has a 1994 Z28 with 473,000 miles on it. Body/paint/interior are nice, although the teal color is pretty barftastic. Its his driver, bought it with a bad motor for $500. Has a built LT1 in it with a M6, damn thing runs mid 11's. Claims he's spent less than 4k on the whole car.

that's actually right about in line with what www.kbb.com has listed for the Private Party value for one in "Fair" condition, just a couple hundred higher
i was just guessing on the zip code with "28201", based on the 704 area code listed (Charlotte, NC).
and that's based on 243,000 miles
still doesn't mean you can't lowball them a bit, tho.....

Which makes me think there is a misprint on the mileage. Nobody would buy a stock LS1 with 242k for $7000.

I think the mileage is right. I do believe the driver's bolster is torn...look in the shadow just above the really bright spot...and look how worn the radio controls are on the steering wheel. Does look damn good for the mileage though. The car's about 20 min. from my house but I have not seen it. I used to go by that lot on the way home from work but I have since moved.

Mine weren't, at 160k they still looked perfect. Didn't light up anymore though. Not many people use the seek button that much, so the mileage may be right, if he was driving alot he may have used the seek button a ton to find stations in areas he didn't know. Just a guess tho.

I can believe it's true....I have 140,000 and it runs strong and honestly have never had anything go wrong with it engine wise. My buddy's lt1's with over 300,000 is still kickin and runs great still.
