I got my first T/A (02' a4) when i was 16 with plans of keeping it stock. And it was stock until i found out about LS1tech haha. The WS6 i have now i definatley had plans to mod it, but i wanted to make sure i had a bone stock car so i could start from scratch and thankfully i found one

Now my car absolutely needs a forged LS2 with twin turbos and a 4L80E at least that is my ultimate and final goal....hopefully
lid and catback was my plan, with maybe a intake manifold. keep it a reasonable car with good suspension under it. those damned sponsors are evil with their sales and GPs. that has since changed into cam, headers, stalled, built tranny, and planning a 403 nitrous motor backed by a t400

I fully intended to keep my LS1 stock (and that's how I answered the poll), but when you're into cars and gatherings, it's hard to look at all the goodies and hear the grumbling without wanting to join in...so far, she's pretty close to stock, but when I'm done spending money on the third gen it will be the LS1's turn.

I had every intent to modify it. I waited a year before I did it and boy was it worth it.

I would've bought LTs and TDs before I had the car if I had some spare coin. I didn't, so I bought them a week later

Since I am still a student, my 98 T/A will remain stock. However the 95 roller I just bought (will have some sort of LS in it) is another story .

I voted no, but, now I'm still about $22,000 in the red on my credit card. I'd have that much cash in the bank ... had I not gotten 'the fever'. Put about $40,000.00 in it sonce I had it ... changed the exhaust 3 times and in two weeks, the American Racing headers are going on for the LAST header swap I'm EVER doin'! Can't EVEN count all the tires I've been through.

I have never had any intentions of leaving any f-body I owned stock. That would be crazy to me, I buy them to enjoy not keep the miles off and try to turn a dollar.

Some collector he is if he advertises it as a 35th anniversary TA

I actually bought my car as a winter car...yeah, no joke. I had an '88 TA at the time and had just decided I was leaving MSOE and had a little over $6k left over, and I found my car for $6400. Couldn't pass up on a 100k mile LS1/6spd car for that kind of money back in '05 (brand new GM clutch and rear gears)! Bought it to drive in the winter (6spd/TCS + snow tires = ROCKS in snow) because the '88 couldn't go ANYWHERE in snow.

Installed a Magnaflow exhaust a few weeks after purchase, and a few weeks after that I picked up my MTI lid/K&N filter for $30. I was very happy with the car as it was then. First car I got to beat up on was an '05 GT

Ended up being forced to do motor work when I slammed some pistons into some valves on a 3-2 shift at the top of third racing a Supra and an Evo. Couldn't put a stock motor back in, so I went ahead and did heads/cam/intake/headers/pulley/fuel/clutch/trans/clutch (yeah ended up with two different clutch setups when my slave went out 3 days after I got it all back together).

Ever since, the project keeps snowballing. Now its getting yet another shortblock and a D1SC

Basically, it's like going to michaeljordan.com and asking if they like to watch basketball games.

But, with that said, I vote yes. Stock sucks

I agree, your results will not be accurate. I'd be willing to bet the amount of modded F-bods is somewhere around 20-30% (based on facts I pulled from my ***). That said, I voted yes. Hell, I came to this site to learn how!
