I just bought this 02 ws6 and at it's lowest point on the side molding it's 5 inches from the ground. It constantly scrapes the ground and I have to be sooooooooo careful on speed bumps. I thought at first that it was lowered but I have recently been hearing some sqeeking/creeking sounds and I thought it might be the shocks/struts...whatever these cars have.
Could it have been lowered this much just by bad shocks/struts?

Yeah that's lowered. And so many times people just swap the springs out and call it done. That might explain the rough ride you described in post#4.
You'll get used to driving it if you give it time. You just need to adjust your driving in certain areas that you know have potwholes, bumbs, dips, etc.

Your car is definitely lowered, and no, bouncing is an indication of bad shocks, not lowering. You are probably on stock shocks, which struggle enough with the stock springs, its even worse when lowered.
If you don't like scraping, but want to stay lowered I would suggest looking into Strano springs. They offer a 1.2" drop and are built, tried and tested specifically for handling. For shocks look into revalved bilstiens from stranoparts.com or Koni SA shocks, those are both the cheapest shocks capable of dampening a lowered fbody, any cheaper ones will still be bouncy, or blow out eventually.

KYBs arnt made to damper lowering springs (on top of that are prone to breaking) dont waste your money.
Any reason you're going with the prokit?
