well i didnt know where to put this, but im looking for advice, i wrecked my 98 camaro ss tonight, im sure its totaled, it doesnt take much to total one out. im trying to decide on what to do, i was thinking the other day that i would like to have a 05 or 06 GTO, something newer and nice that i know hasnt been driven hard, and then i wreck this so it may be the time to get one, or maybe tryin to get a vette, i know a car dealer and he can get me what ever i want for CHEAP, i can get anything i want from any auction and the prices are unreal on somethings, then there is the idea of getting a v6 camaro and swapping everything from my car over, or gettin a silverado and swapping the motor and tranny over, what are GTO's goin for right now? i think that may be my best bet as i hear that insurance isnt all that bad on them and i dont think they are that expensive, are there any down sides to them? should i get another camaro? there is so much goin through my head right now i just need some advice, tell me what you would do!!

I would get another Camaro. The GTO is nice, but I like Camaros much better.

Or if you can swing a C6 vette, that would be great as well. I'm not a huge fan of the C5s, but I do love the C6.

i was doin about 60 and topped a hill.. got sideways and lost control and bounced from ditch to ditch with a ending of smashing into some trees in reverse, its pretty totaled.. motor and everything is fine i think..

An 05 GTO with low miles will cost over 20K if not more. I only found one for under 20k with less then 20,000 miles.

yea the gto's are still pretty high. id stick with the fbody

i vote for another camaro, gto's are nice but they do it for me compared to a vette or ss...or join the pontiac family

i think i know what im gonna do, my friend has a 97 rs that he had a slight wreck and swap everything over from my car.. bassically make it a 97 ls1 rs/ss my spoiler and hood are fine so.. swap drivetrain, interior, everyhting over.. what you think??

if that is your plan go for it! but that would be like a project there are alot of things that i cant even imagine that need to be converted, if it was a Z28 i know it wouldent be as bad, but it would sure be helpful to see some pics of ur car, maybe it can be bought back and fixed for cheaper then swaping everything

im gonna buy mine back and buy a v6 car and swap every thing over.. make a rs/ss i guess my buddy has a 97 rs that he wrecked all is wrong with it is it needs the inner fender straightend out.. ill put my interior, front end, spoiler, and drivetrain in that car, kinda odd it has a gu6 and a g80 in it from the factory.. same as my car did.. so i wont have to swap rear ends.. basically ill just make it my car with a diff body.. ill get some pics up if you all wanna see pics..

Why would you swap interiors? The '97 had the same interior as the '98. Only difference would be the gage cluster and the audio system.

ha.. nah the ss is dead im sure.. the pass side door wont even shut.. ill try to get some pics tomorrow.. if the camera has any batteries in it.. it will prolly make you sick to see the pics tho.. it makes me sick with it in my driveway!!!!

it all depends on what they are gonna want for my car.. if they want like 3k for it im gonna tell them they can park it up their.. well ya know.. but if i can get it back for 2k or 2500 then ill buy it back.. swap everything over to a v6 car, and have a ss clone.. that has everything a ss would have.. all the way down to the suspension most likely.. unless the roller i get has suspension work.. but it all depends on the insurance company right now..
