Default Engine Poll.

I have a buddy who has a 78 corvette. He's trying to decide which engine to put in the car. He's wants 500 or so hp. The engines are narrowed down to a 427/454 or a LSX swap.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those choices although 500 hp would obviously be easier to obtain with a 427 or 454.

***oh and btw, it's poll not pole

If he just wants 500 hp then just get a 408ci LQ9 w/ some L92 heads, those are pretty cheap.

Motown or Sharifoff 427 small-block Chevy. Less hassle to install than a LSx, weighs less than a big-block.

Ha you have it good. 87 is $3.30 here and it only gets worse as you climb the octane ladder.

lsx swap but it depends if he wants to go through the work to swap it out or just keep everything more simple.
