Congratulations and nice car! I'd say it's an average deal for a 100k car. Would have been a great deal if you managed to pay under 10k for it.

Enjoy her.

Beautiful Car. The price is a little high for 100k miles.
I would take those corvette covers off though.

I think you did well. I paid 14,500 for a 70,000 mile SS. Its very location dependant weather its a deal or not. Some guys say you get ripped....others are like wow, wish I could find deals like that around here...

That is one good looking SS. Please tell me I didn't see a U-haul trailer hitch bolted on the back of it. Thats got to come off. The price seems a little high to me. One year ago I picked up my 00 Z28 A4 with 79,000 on her for $9000. The area where you live plays a part in it. Welcome to this board, there is alot of smart people on here thats always willing to help out someone. The LS1 engine is a bad boy.

Haha, I had the exact same trailer hitch on my Camaro when I bought it. Just 6 large bolts and it came off easy.

Not so fast...I've thought about a trailer hitch on the z for a few different light items. For example check out this classic video, I still lol when I see it...

I think you got a great car...If you over paid it was only by a bit.And thats not counting into consideration certain things that are tough to put a price on BUT are HIGHLY desired in the LS1 community such as:

CLEAN!
Black.
M6 tranny!
REAL SS (assuming you have the WU8 RPO code on the door). That means nothing to some and matters greatly to others.Plus nobody can argue that it doesn't increase tha value of the car.

All things considered,I would have made the same purchase if it were me.

Good luck and enjoy!!!

PS great looking family..

Sounds like a resonable deal to me. Get that trailer hitch off there and paint the town red!

I bought a black on black 00 WS6 A4 with 45,000 miles (all stock) for $14k two months ago. I think you got a good deal as long as the car is in good shape.

You probably have already gone to Kelley and Edmunds but if not, the car you bought in excellent condition from a private party is valued at $10,050. Not too far from your price. Other factors include things like other buyers in waiting. Someone bought Carol Shelby's Super Snake for 5 million.... It is worth more money to absolutely know the truth about a car's history in which case you do. The most important thing about a deal to me is if I got the thing I wanted. You have a very nice car that will always be wanted by someone and you can post the SS # in your signature line.

CONGRATULATIONS!

The car looks terrific but probably could be buffed and the Corvette fuel rail covers make the engine compartment look tidy - I like them.

Thanks guys. I plan on taking that hitch off today. The clutch, brakes, shocks, and struts were all replaced at 80k.

definately a sweet looking ride. there's really nothing better looking than a nice clean black ss. price wise could have been off, but, as others have already said, there are many considerations concerning that.

i paid 16k for my SS back in 2004 with only 31,000 miles on her. i've been told i got a good deal as she was in tip top shape, but who knows.

What you never seen track cars pull a small trailer with slicks on them before?

Good pick up, I paid a little more for mine, 2000 Black SS, 88k miles, hardtop. It was pretty much the exact car I wanted, so I was willing to pay a few hundred more than I wanted to.

Nothing wrong with a trailer hitch on an SS! It actually helps tie the rear framerails together for much better traction and stiffen up the car. You can really feel the difference. Of course, a hitch is really there to tow with. This is my daily driver so I need to tow my boat with it. It's no big deal though, the car has plenty of power and tows really well.
