Default Good Combo?

My car is an A4 with a TCI streetfighter stall, and 3.73 in the rear end. It also has a shift kit. My primary driving is done on the street, is this setup more suited for the track?? What gears do you guys run with a stall converter. Do i actually need a converter if i really don't go to the track? I honestly don't know what the car was like befor the stall went in, i bought the car and like two weeks later stalled it. Thats what everyone said should be the first thing to do in an auto. Opinions please.

a converter is a great thing for track use but it will be useful on the street too. Pretty much it will get you into your powerband ALOT quicker and most autos go with 3'73's for a good overall gear so I would honestly keep your setup

if you arn't draggin your car i wouldn't worry to much about a converter...if you want the best performance you can get out of your car as is, then yeah get a converter..starz t/a said it "Pretty much it will get you into your powerband ALOT quicker"

I have heard bad things about the TCI stalls, You should look into a Yank or Vigilante for a quality converter. They are pricey but you get what you pay for, dont forget a nice tranny cooler too A 3600 stall should be just about perfect for you.
