i have a question for people reading, if i get a check for my car and they find it like a couple weeks or days after i get the check do i have the chance of buying it back? lots of sentimental value with that car, and i could part it out...if it hasnt already

man this sucks. I feel really bad for what happened. we need a group of ls1techers to kick some ***! having put all that money in your car hurts bad. I feel ya. hopefully a lead will come up somewhere and they'll find your car in one piece. but to be able to steal your car just like that they must be pros and most likely would have torn the car halfway up already. let's pray that isn't the case though. about the insurance, a change made to the policy after something is reported is incoherent to that report. If the insurance cuts you a check and if the car is found after the funds clear through the bank, I would think they would offer you to buy it as is but would carry an alteration to the title... someone correct me if I'm wrong?
have you tried looking around local websites to see if there's any leads? or went around, personally, talking to the nearby neighbors or businesses about anything unusual during those hours? do you live around a business zone? perhaps ask about surveillance cameras if there's anything nearby?

If they recover your car and stuff was removed or changed it will more than likely be considered a salvage title. In NJ i know for a fact it would be a salvage title, not sure about your state though. I'd concentrate on working with the insurance company now, only about 25% of stolen cars ever get recovered. I wouldn't know what to do if my WS6 or SS got snagged from me though, losing a car you put a lot of time, money and sweat into is like losing a close friend.
