didnt the guy that bought the first one also buy the third zr1 to be made for another million? and for people to say the zr1 is nothing special since europeans have been doing it for years is ridiculous. did you guys say the same thing when the saleen S7 came out? i know its not on that level but its supercar productivity from an american manufacturer, wich hasnt been done yet (except for saleen) espescially for the 100-120k its projected to go for. Look at the ford gt, thats well over 100k and its got nothing on a stock c6 z06. that car with a few mods will be even CRAZIER, and it performs on the track not just a straight line like most of gm's past cars.
But it was an awesome auction if you guys saw it. i sure would like to know the info that jay leno has about whats to come with emmissions and gm's plans, seems like he gets alot of the insight.

Aww man wtf? I was watching that stupid auction for what seemed like forever tonight waiting for these girls from another college to get to my apartment. I turned it right after they sold they ugly old blue Corvette for $1.6 million. I sat through all that crap and I missed the new LS9? Bah!

Wow, that car looks amazing. The rims look incredible on it
It looks SOOOOOO MUCH BETTER in those pictures than in the original pictures released. I will own one of these one day. That's gonna be a 700+ horsepower car with a pulley swap and a tune
What tranny is in that? The TR6060? Or is it a real nasty auto?

yea, I remember reading somewhere that the ENTIRE paint job is estimated at around 60k, the clear was like 2k a gallion, I mean seriously if the clear was 60k a gallion then your talkin probally the price of the car in clear coat.

Sorry..just need to make a few corrections....
The REAR brakes are the same as the ones on the Enzo...(15in carbon fiber units)
Also the paint is not $60K a gallon..The clear coat that keeps the carbon fiber from looking like shyt is $60K gallons. Its a special mix that is used on computer chips to keep them sealed.
And there isn't really any technology. Its a built engine w/ boost and sweet brakes ,etc. Nothing new in the European world, but it will definitely pack a punch to 75% of the exotics

The front brakes are IIRC 15.4 in from the Enzo FXX, which is the race version of the enzo. you are correct about the rears though.
