Yeah, he's been doing Barrett-Jackson for years. Didn't he also ****** up a very early Vette this year, another one with a very low serial number VIN??

Couple of points of note...

The paint is NOT $60k a gallon. There is an additive (carbon fiber additive) in the clearcoat, and the additive is $60k a gallon. The additive is used to protect the carbon fiber body panels from turning color over time. The clearcoat w/ the additive is $2k a gallon. Thus you have a little more than $2k of clearcoat on the car!

Also the rear brakes are the same as the front brakes on the Enzo.

Over all however the brakes on the ZR1 are the same as the Bugatti Veyron.

I wonder how much they paid the 15-year-old kid to detail it.

Yeah, Jay drove it out and introduced the car. Quite the production actually, he kept giving Dave a hard time about bidding from the balcony, and finally got him down to the floor.

Already stated, but we don't know if they use a gallon, that's just an assumption, because it's only on the carbon fiber pieces.

Watched it go off. What a joke. The buyer was an ego maniac/idiot and the auction was a joke. BJ is impressed with themsleves no doubt. They werent even good auction callers.

As far as the car for a million I would expect a few polished parts under that hood. The alt looks fairly plain and almost cheesey looking there. For all the attention on the paint there could have been something done under the hood as well.

The car is awesome but the auction and the buyer were a joke. I was semi embarassed to watch it. Stupid is the one word that comes to mind.
