It got 29 on the highway when it was stock..

In my experience with my stall my gas milage dropped 1-3 mpg depanding on how much traffic there is.

You need to get a REAL tune done to the car..it sounds like the one that you have now is kind of half azzzzed to say the least..a good tune will get rid of the surging and improve your performance and fuel economy..
