EGR and AIR question

i wasn't crazy about feeding exhaust into my intake stream so i just sealed the EGR opening on the intake manifold but kept the tube running into the hole so its still looks functional. i had codes tuned out as well. it still looks exactly the same and throws no codes...utter perfection lol
