works fine with them, i've used that tool a bunch of times, it's wiser to keep it on the bottome tray of the tool box cuss you WILL be having to replace springs (depending on how much/hard you drive the car) every year. that's why i ditched the MS4 went to a smaller cam and now back to a stock cam

the cam bit got old fast lol

I'm almost 15k miles on my dual springs... I'm hoping they last as then what the hell is the point of buying them if you gotta replace every damn year?

Does anyone else kinda wonder why can GM springs go 100k and still be strong while a set of aftermarkets can't do 1/5 of that mileage?

Because typically when folks do after market springs, they have cams with much more aggressive lift...on a stock cam, I would guess after market springs would work indefinitely..

I ain't running a stock cam, but I don't consider a 224 and 0.561 lift all that much more aggressive.

It's not and you shouldn't have to worry about springs for at least 30k miles. Never hurts to keep an eye on it, just in case

Does anyone here have experience with the TTP Equalizer V3? The car has 97k miles on the stock (to my knowledge) shortblock. The cam/heads swap was done ~5k miles ago. Since TTP doesn't release specs of the cam, I'm not sure how long I should be expecting my springs to last. Anyone have a clue as to what this cam really is? I don't know if its the tune or what, but it doesn't really sound TOO aggressive. Sorry I but I was just wondering if anyone knew.

I ran a set of Texas Speed PRC dual springs on a 233/233 .595/.595 112 cam for 44,000 before I changed them..they were still good when they came off...call up and ask the guys at Texas Speed how long that they have run springs on the personal vehiles and you will be pleasantly surprised at the length of service you can get out of a good set of dual springs...I have 20,000 miles on the dual springs (Patriot Golds..which are the same spring as the PRC) that are in my car now and I expect them to last another 20,000 before I replace them..

Your stock cam had .498 lift on stock lobes compared to much more agressive lobes on the aftermarket cam you are runnig now.

Is it basically just guesstimation on how long you keep them in? Is there an easy way to tell or do you just have to pull the valve cover off?

If you're running a "good" set of duals, what's gonna happen if one of them breaks? And is there any difference between when a dual spring breaks versus a single?
