what matter is if you like the car and you think you got a good deal, right now i see f-bodys selling for a very wide price range, with 13,500 being being middle/upper??

I like the car, but if you plan to mod it factory stuff almost means nothing

It is a nice car, I paid a lot more for my 99 trans am that had a lot more miles on it. It's all about what you think it's worth really. I would say that the prices of these cars will come down quite a bit when the new camaro comes out..but if you're like me you just can't wait.
I paid 10,000 for my 00 Z28 with 65,000 miles on it, paid 16,000 for my 99 ws6 with 78,000 miles...and 10,000 for my 02 with 98,000 miles. I think I get more retarded as time goes on.

i paid 9,500 for my 99Z with 60,000 on it. like orangefun said, all that cool stuff you said about the car will mean nothing if you start to mod it. sounds like a really nice car but dont let him talk you into by those numbers saying only so many had this or that if your only going to change it in the future.

I paid $14,550 for my 99 SS w/ 34k miles back in June '07. That was pretty close to top dollar. I was willing to pay a little more than others because it was pretty much the exact car I wanted and it had low miles.

A car is only worth as much as someone will pay for it. Thats a VERY nice looking SS and it has CME. I would say yes it is worth $13,500.

I paid $13,500 for my 99 Z in 2004. It had just under 17,000 and was very clean. I'd say thats about the most I would pay for the SS you're looking at. It does look clean in the pics for a DD. But, there are better deals out there if you look around, depends on if you are gonna keep it somewhat stock or do some major modding on it I guess.

That is a nice SS, I think I paid too much for my WS6 with 45k on it, I paid 14k. It was what I wanted so I bought it.

I paid 16K for an 02 SS w/52K BUT it was a hardtop (must have) and a 6spd (must have) and everything else that was this nice was just as high $$$.

Here is the link w/pics to compare condition.

personally, i think 13,5 for 67xxx mile SS is a bit much. if you have big plans for it, why not go for a 98 SS with higher mielage if you plan on a 408.

Wow, lots of small questions here. Lets see what I can answer...

The F-body vehicles should retain some value, but there could be a mass-selling of them if the new Camaro comes out and delivers on the performance promises. I did say "could" as not everyone will be selling them. I think it is safe to say the the value of them will drop some when the new model rolls out, but not significantly.

The 2010 Camaro will be out in February 2009. If you have further questions on that car, check the information out in this forum (there's an entire section dedicated to the 2010 Camaro).

Honestly, people are selling them now. I think the prices will continue to decline on the 4th gens, but the real drop will be after Chevy announces what drive train they are putting in the new Camaro, as this is currently unknown. That, and other people are waiting until the new model is actually on the lot before they sell what they have. It is a gamble - "will my car sell for more now, or should I wait..."

In all honesty, now is the time to buy. You will always find a better deal down the road, but the car you are looking at seems to be a pretty solid deal. If you like it, and can afford it, I say jump on it.

Like what's been said before A car is only worth as much as someone will pay for it. And if you like it get it. Its not a great price but it's not a bad price either.

do it, my buddy has almost the exact car (same options, year, rims, exhaust and color) as that one and its gorgeous he paid 13.5 3 years ago when the car had 30k on the clock.

all i ever hear about is how rare that exhaust was on 01's...

that looks like a good deal to me. Just depends were you are located. here in hawaii that guy could sell that car for 17 or 18k no problem. Hell the dealership sold my 99 z28 with 70k on odo for 22k. It is amazing what people will buy when you put a car out there long enough and to the correct people. So yea 13.500 seems like a real good deal.
