i was just looking around tryig to decide where i am going to go with my car adn i came across this. i knew they existed, computer tuning, etc., but i never really looked into them. what im asking is anyone who has had one or has experience with them, are they worth the money?

I'm splitting a copy of HPT with my roommate, its very useful and not overly pricey for what you can do with it.

Definitely worth it. You don't have to pay to have your car retuned after every mod, and you can get it running better with a street tune.

A friend of mine and I split it. We bought it with 6 credits for 400 dollars and to get a dyno tune at a local shop, they use hp tuners and they charge 200 initially plus 300 each time, but I also have the benefit of being able to make adjustments on my own. If you want to do the tuning as Arc00TA said I would recommend splitting it as it then becomes rather feasible.

Not to mention if you get halfway decent at it you can ***** it out for other people who need minor tweaks like speedo changes after gears etc. Make the money back.
