Default General advice...

Well, my POS Audi doesn't seem like it is going to make it into 2009 so I can wait on the new Camaro. So I may have to decide and I need some help. Get the cheapest F-body I can find and go as sick as possible, buy a Y-body and have that gorgeous look and a little work, or go to the darkside and buy a Terminator. Whatever happens, I'll probably try and turn my A4 into an autocrosser, but I need a V8 again. A turbo four with only 150 ponies sucks.

I'd run the audi till it blows. If you want a new camaro that bad, when they come out you will just end up wishing you had waited it out.

Oh, the motor is fine. That won't let go for atleast another 100k. The problem is the rack-n-pinion, the brakes, the suspension, the exhaust, the entire front end assembly. Basically, if it goes, I meet the curb in a hurry.

I would just get any little things fixed that you can to make it last. What year is it?

It's a '99 A4. The problems I listed are the "little things" to keep it running. AWD is a pain in the a$$ to fix.

Either car is a nice choice. The new 09 would be a virgin for quite some time, while the fourth gen would get tinkered with on a regular basis. I like sports cars and I'm not hard-lined to one or the other. Thats is why I asked this. To kind of get and idea of where people went. Plus, I have no desire to pay exhuberent prices because dealers want to charge you for being one of the first to get one. I'm still waiting to see if GM will keep dealers from marking the cars up for personal profit. (iPhone syndrome)

i voted for the fbody, make it as sick as possible... cmon that would be the most fun. then you can wait if gm decides to mark up the camaro rediculous amounts at the start... and of course blow the doors of any 09 you catch in the street.

I voted for the f-body choice... I like the looks of the 4th gen f-bodies better than the new camaro.
