Just turned 25 and changed insurance today. Went with Erie Insurance on my z06 with full coverage, 500 dollar deductibles and 100,000/300,000 for 97 dollars a month. Oh, and 2 points on my license for speeding in 2006. He had to call it in because of new rules about getting a ticket. Almost got rejected for it. Also needed me to have my license for 8 years to qualify with a sports car.

Still less money than it was last year with my 99 z28 so it worked out.

I'm 30 (God help me...) and I pay $410 every six months ($68/month for comparison reasons) for full coverage on my '99 Z28. It was about $363 every six months, but another ticket, and up it went...

That, and age helps. About the only perk of being older, I suppose...

Come on guys, this thread is bordering on ridiculous:

There are MANY determining factors when it comes to insurance costs, INCLUDE:

1. Credit Rating
2. Garaged Zip Code
3. AGE of Driver
4. Gender of Driver
5. Driving Record of Driver
6. If driver is on parents policy who has better credit rating
7. DISCOUNTS (good student, good driver, etc etc).
8. Claims on that same vehicle in that same area
9. How much is costs to repair said vehicle for that driver's age/record
10. Marital Status

This is just a SHORT list.

You CAN NOT compare premiums from one driver to the next. ALL drivers are different and ALL insurance companies quote differently, and rate drivers differently.

You have to compare apples to apples, and not apples to oranges:

You can NOT compare a 33 year old MArried Male, to a under 25 male, unmarried. Especially if one lives in NJ (highest liability ins in the country) to Alaska (lowest liability ins in the country).

IMPOSSILBE TO COMPARE RATES!

Age 27. No points (two reduced tickets which carry no points and are not considered a moving violation). GEICO. $110 per month. Atlanta, GA. One point of particular interest, when shopping around on the web, other companies coded my zero point offenses differently (when New Jersey reduces to a zero point ticket, it is typically noted as "unsafe operation of vehicle".....that description sounds even worse than "speeding excessively"!). Progressive considered both to be 4 point reckless driving tickets and quoted me $1,800 every six months! HAHA!

I feel you folks in NJ......When I lived there I went to insure my Corvette and a beater...I might've been better off to simply offer my left arm and the right of adoption to my first born son! HAHA!

This is sticky material - and i totally agree. if you want to know how much you will be paying you will need to call your insurance agencies (geico, progressive, state farm, farmers ins. ect) in your area.
